Hipster Files songs of 2012
Here are my top 50 songs for 2012 (Dec. ’11 – Nov. ’12)
My only criteria to make my list was not to use the same artist more than once. A lot of my favorite songs were constantly changing throughout the year, but here are the ones that stuck for good.
Scroll bellow to listen to my top 50 songs on Spotify. Or, if you don’t have 3 hrs & 50 minutes, I have also broken down my top 50 into 4 streamable playlists sorted by genre. Listen to my favorite (1) electronic, (2) hip hop/ R&B, (3) pop, & (4) rock/folk songs via 8TRACKS links. Hope you enjoy. (Songs on the streamable playlists are not completely in my ranked order. Number 32 and 37 were on constant repeat over on this side. And thanks to this I now have a few more I can add to my playlists too.
Cool, Sharon is probably my favorite singer/songwriter currently. Other good folk albums this year were: Kathleen Edwards, Damien Jurado, Mirel Wagner, First Aid Kit, & The Lumineers.
If you like singer/songwriters- Kurt Vile is another personal fav of mine.
