Album of the month: Daniel Rossen

March 29, 2012

You’d think at 1 favorite album per month I’d be able to keep up with this. Hahaha

Daniel Rossen’s new EP, Silent Hour/Golden Mile, is my current fave of the year. So he, without a doubt, gets my March ‘album of the month’ tag.

Daniel Rossen is a singer/songwriter that is also a co-lead singer & guitarist member of Grizzly Bear & 1/2 of the Department Of Eagles. Veckatimest by Grizzly Bear was my #1 favorite album of 2009, so obviously I really love this new solo EP he has put together. I can’t pick between “Silent Song” & “Saint Nothing” as my single favorite track off the EP. So, I HIGHLY recommend you just listen to both of them. Enjoy!

My album of the month for February is sort of a tie between Frankie Rose & Burial. With a very slight edge to Frankie. Check out my last post on both of them HERE.

Albums of the month:

March: Daniel Rossen –  Silent Hour/Golden Mile (EP)

February : Frankie Rose – Interstellar

January : Cloud Nothings – Attack On Memory

December(’11): The Weeknd – Echoes Of Silence

What are some of your favorites? I’d love to hear what they are.

My favorites of the month are 2 albums. The new Anais Mitchell is pretty good for a folk album and I am really digging the new Men album “Listen to you Heart”

Also the new Beach House, which is at the number 2 spot on my 2012 list, but i don’t think i can count it for March since it comes out in May haha
